Police have arrested Adam Rosema following a violent crash that left a young woman in critical condition. Investigators allege the collision involved excessive speed and aggressive driving and occurred during the early morning hours of November 8.
Rosema now faces charges of racing on a highway and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.
The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. as Rosema drove a white Ford Mustang southbound on 4th Street South. As he neared the intersection of 2nd Avenue South, a 27-year-old woman entered the crosswalk. Police noted the pedestrian was crossing against the traffic signal at the time.

Seeing the potential danger, an uninvolved driver slowed to allow the woman to cross safely. Investigators say Rosema did not slow down.
Instead, police allege he swerved to make an improper lane change in an attempt to pass the slowing vehicle. Authorities say he accelerated, overtook the car, and struck the woman.
