Teenager Charged in Huntington Shooting That Injured Victim

A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting earlier this month that left a person hospitalized, Huntington police said.

The incident occurred on January 4 around 4:15 p.m. near 21st Street and Sixth Avenue, when officers reported hearing gunshots and observing a vehicle leaving the area. A subsequent traffic stop on the 500 block of 21st Street revealed the driver suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, who was taken to a local hospital. A passenger in the vehicle was unharmed.

The teenager faces charges including malicious assault, wanton endangerment, and being a minor in possession of deadly weapons.
