Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing Shots at Occupied Dania Beach Home

An 18-year-old man was taken into custody after authorities say he opened fire on an occupied home in Dania Beach.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said a deputy heard gunshots near the 1300 block of Southwest Fourth Avenue shortly after 1:50 p.m. Monday and rushed toward the area. The deputy then spotted the suspect, identified as Brandon Henry, running from the scene.

Investigators determined that Henry had fired shots at a residence, though no injuries were reported. Officials have not released a possible motive.

Henry was arrested on multiple charges, including attempted murder, violating pre-trial release conditions, possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, misdemeanor battery related to dating violence, and drug offenses. He remains held without bond at the Broward County Main Jail.
