A 94-year-old man who was reported missing in Scioto County has been located, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
Lewis Maynard was reported missing after he left his home on Piatt Road in the West Portsmouth area around 10 a.m. Monday and failed to return. Deputies said there were concerns for his safety because he did not have access to his required medication.
During the search, Maynard was last seen on traffic cameras traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 in Guernsey County. Officials also noted he had ties to Ravenswood, West Virginia, where he previously served as a pastor, and believed he could be headed in that direction.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that Maynard had been found and thanked the public for its assistance in helping locate him.
