A 74-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing the street in Yucaipa, San Bernardino County.
On Jan. 19, deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Yucaipa Boulevard and 5th Street around 9:44 a.m.
The victim, identified only as a 74-year-old Yucaipa resident, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said she was walking in a marked crosswalk when a driver in a Hyundai Tucson SUV made a right turn onto Yucaipa Boulevard and struck her.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Detectives confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing, and the victim’s identity has not been released.
