A 23-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday evening on Chicago’s Lower West Side, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of West 23rd Street.
Chicago police said the victim was standing near a parking lot when an unknown SUV pulled up. An unidentified suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire before getting back into the SUV, which then fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to the head, shoulder, and chest. He was later pronounced dead.
As of Tuesday night, no arrests had been made.
Area Four detectives are investigating the case.
