Deputies assisted U.S. Marshals in apprehending a wanted man who attempted to flee from law enforcement on a side-by-side in Kanawha County.
Timothy “Big Hurt” Jones has been charged with kidnapping and wanton endangerment involving a firearm, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
The release states that an arrest warrant was issued following an incident reported in August 2025.
On Wednesday, deputies said a SWAT Team and U.S. Marshals served the warrant at an Upper Drive address in Handley.
According to deputies, Jones fled from law enforcement on a four-wheeler, crashed, and then attempted to run from the scene.
Investigators said the ATV Jones was riding had been reported stolen from Fayette County.
Jones will be arraigned after receiving medical treatment, and deputies said additional charges are pending.
