Kanawha County deputies are investigating after a woman walked into a local hospital with multiple stab wounds early Friday morning, authorities said.
Deputies reported the woman arrived at Thomas Memorial Hospital around 2:30 a.m. with seven stab wounds. Officials said her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
According to authorities, the woman was initially uncooperative but later told deputies she had been involved in a fight with several other women near the Shawnee Park area, away from the sports complex.
Deputies deployed a K-9 unit in an effort to locate the scene where the incident occurred.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
