A man was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting a woman and holding her against her will for several days, according to West Virginia State Police.
Troopers identified the suspect as Caleb Joseph Lee Turner, 26, of Ridgeview. He faces charges of wanton endangerment, prohibited person, strangulation, and kidnapping.
State police said troopers responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Auburn Ridge Road. At the scene, they spoke with a woman who reported that Turner beat her and kept her at his residence for approximately four days.
The woman also told troopers that Turner held her at gunpoint before firing a single shot into a wall and then fleeing the residence.
Troopers later located Turner in the Mud Fork area of Logan County, where he was taken into custody several hours after the incident.
Turner is currently being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
