The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking help identifying potential victims linked to a nursing assistant accused of sexually abusing care home patients in Southern California.
Kayode Agbolade Ogunba, 61, a certified nursing assistant, was arrested in January by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office on multiple felony charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of a dependent person and elder abuse. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
Santa Barbara deputies launched the investigation after a Goleta care home reported that Ogunba allegedly sexually assaulted two patients in November. LAPD detectives stated he is also being investigated for a separate alleged sexual assault of a patient in Los Angeles.
Ogunba has worked for several temporary agencies and had access to numerous potential victims. Over the past seven years, he has been employed as a CNA in Glendora and in other states, including Washington, Texas, and Kansas.
