Police said a traffic stop along U.S. 33 in Jackson County led to an arrest and the seizure of illegal drugs.
Paul Richard Harris II, 49, of Columbus, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver both fentanyl and MDMA, according to a social media post from the Ravenswood Police Department.
Officers stopped an SUV on Feb. 9 after observing multiple traffic violations, the post said.
Investigators reported that the stop uncovered more than 500 ecstasy pills, approximately 7 ounces of suspected fentanyl and $1,200 in cash.
Police said they discovered the drugs and cash during a search of the vehicle.
Harris is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail on $125,000 surety/cash bail.
