Ravenswood man accused of sexual relationship with minor, police say

A Ravenswood man was arrested Wednesday after police said he allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor dating back to 2018.

James Paul DeNapoli II, 40, faces nine counts of third-degree sexual assault, according to a news release from the Ravenswood Police Department.

Police allege DeNapoli had a sexual relationship with a child under the age of 15 on nine separate occasions at multiple locations in Ravenswood in 2018. At the time, DeNapoli was 32 years old and the victim was between 12 and 13 years old.

Investigators said they obtained a statement from the victim along with additional evidence, including a recording in which DeNapoli admitted to the relationship. That evidence led to a warrant for his arrest.

DeNapoli was taken into custody Wednesday in Easton, Pa., and has since been arraigned in Jackson County, according to police. His bond was set at $250,000, and additional charges are pending.
