18-Year-Old Arrested in Ventura County for Allegedly Selling Cannabis to Minors

An 18-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into an illegal cannabis operation accused of selling marijuana to minors throughout Ventura County, authorities announced.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began in October 2025 after officials received information about unlawful marijuana sales to underage individuals in Oxnard.

Detectives identified Francisco Vega, an Oxnard resident, as the primary suspect. During the course of the investigation, authorities served multiple search warrants and determined that the alleged sales extended beyond Camarillo and into other parts of the county.

On Feb. 17 at approximately 7 a.m., deputies arrested Vega at his residence in the 600 block of East Yucca Street in Oxnard. A subsequent search of the home reportedly uncovered additional evidence tied to the suspected illegal sales operation.

Vega was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on suspicion of selling marijuana to minors.

Sheriff’s officials expressed appreciation to community members who provided information that contributed to the case.
