Troopers arrested two men at a Chapmanville residence on a range of charges, including drug offenses and fugitive from justice, authorities said.
Chad Neil Williams, 49, of Chapmanville, and Rolland Marshall Reddick, 30, of Canton, Ohio, were taken into custody Friday at a home on Morning Glory Drive, according to a release from West Virginia State Police.
Troopers said they initially received a complaint about suspected drug activity at the residence, along with reports that individuals inside were being held against their will.
When officers arrived, they located Williams at the home. Following an investigation, troopers determined that Williams allegedly restrained multiple people against their will. While at the residence, officers seized a significant amount of suspected fentanyl, several firearms and a large sum of cash, the release stated.
Troopers said Reddick was also present and initially provided false identification. Authorities later discovered he was a fugitive from justice.
According to troopers, Williams faces the following charges:
- Parole violations
- Probation violations
- Three counts of prohibited person in possession of a firearm
- Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
- Unlawful restraint
Troopers said Reddick faces the following charges:
- Fugitive from justice
- Obstruction
- False information to the Department of Public Safety
Both men were transported to Southwestern Regional Jail. Williams is being held on a total bond of $97,000, including $60,000 cash-only. Reddick is being held on a $2,000 bond for the obstruction and false information charges and without bond on the fugitive charge.
