JetBlue Flights Resume After Brief Nationwide Ground Stop

Flights operated by JetBlue resumed early Tuesday after a brief nationwide ground stop requested by the airline due to an internal technical issue.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the airline asked for flights to be temporarily paused overnight while it addressed the problem.

JetBlue later confirmed that the issue had been resolved. “A brief system outage has been resolved and we have resumed operations,” the airline said in a statement, without providing additional details about the disruption.

The FAA also confirmed the ground stop had been lifted and said normal operations had resumed.

Flight tracking website FlightAware reported two canceled JetBlue flights and about 155 delays on Monday. As of early Tuesday morning, no cancellations or delays had been reported.

JetBlue is based in New York City and operates its primary terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Ground stops are occasionally issued by the FAA for various reasons, including technical outages or security concerns affecting flight operations.
