Incident Reported in Saline
A late-night confrontation in Saline turned violent when gunfire broke out, leaving a 26-year-old woman injured, according to police.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Woodland Drive around 11:40 p.m. on April 16 after receiving reports of shots fired.
Dispute Escalates Into Violence
Authorities say three individuals—two women and a man—traveled from Detroit to confront the victim over an earlier disagreement.
The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation involving the three women. During the fight, one of them discharged a firearm.
The man who accompanied the group fled the scene shortly after the incident.
Victim Hospitalized, Suspects Arrested
The 26-year-old victim, who is from Lincoln Park, suffered injuries during the confrontation and was transported to a nearby hospital. She was the only person reported hurt.
The other two women involved—ages 28 and 21—left the area but later contacted authorities. Police located and arrested them in Pittsfield Township.
Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Saline Police Department for further investigation.
Weapon Recovered, Investigation Ongoing
Police confirmed that the firearm used in the incident has been recovered. The individual who fired the weapon reportedly holds a valid concealed pistol license.
Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the confrontation and what led to the shooting.
