Lexington Man Arrested for Alleged Online Death Threats Against President Trump and ICE Agents

A 23-year-old man from Lexington has been arrested on federal charges after authorities say he posted violent threats online targeting President Donald Trump and federal law enforcement officers.

According to federal prosecutors and the FBI, Kadrioan Serainity Santiago was taken into custody after investigators reviewed a series of Instagram posts made between January and late March. He is charged with making threatening communications online.

Authorities allege Santiago posted repeated statements expressing intent to commit violence against federal officials, including threats directed at law enforcement and agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Prosecutors say the posts also encouraged violence against ICE personnel and included claims of intent to carry out attacks.

The FBI’s investigation also revealed that Santiago had shared images of himself posing with firearms, which he allegedly described as unregistered.

Officials noted that this is not Santiago’s first encounter with law enforcement. In 2023, he was previously arrested at Berea College after a weapon was discovered on campus. That case resulted in a weapons-related charge that was later reduced.

Federal prosecutor Jason Parman condemned the alleged threats, stating that threats against the President and federal officers “strike at the core of public safety and the rule of law,” and emphasized that such actions would be prosecuted aggressively.

The FBI says it acted quickly after identifying the posts and moved to prevent any potential escalation.

The case remains under federal investigation.
