MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports a multi-vehicle crash on US 31 at mile-marker 230 Wednesday morning involving an oversize trailer.
A 26-year-old Rochester man driving a Chevy Impala was traveling south when traffic slowed due to a vehicle being recovered by a wrecker. The Impala rear-ended a 2013 GMC pickup truck, driven by a 71-year-old man from South Whitley, which was escorting the oversize trailer. The GMC then struck the trailer before stopping.
The 71-year-old driver was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital with a possible back injury. Authorities are investigating the incident.
