A fatal mobile home fire in Alcona County claimed the life of one person and two pets Saturday evening, authorities said.
Fire Destroys Mobile Home
According to the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and firefighters responded around 7:20 p.m. on March 21 to a reported residential fire in Millen Township.
When crews arrived, the mobile home was already engulfed, with flames and embers surrounding the structure. Officials said the home was a total loss.
Victims Found Inside
After extinguishing the fire, responders discovered one person and two pets dead inside the living room.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family members and the ongoing investigation.
Cause Under Investigation
Authorities have not determined the cause of the fire, and investigators continue to examine the scene.
