A teenage boy was injured in a shooting Monday night in downtown Chicago’s Loop, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police said the 14-year-old was standing outside in the 0-100 block of East Washington Street around 8:30 p.m. when an unknown individual fired shots in his direction.
The teen suffered a gunshot wound to his left foot and was transported to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where he was listed in fair condition.
No further details were immediately available. Area Three detectives are investigating.
