16-Year-Old Arrested in Fatal Flint Township Shooting That Left 20-Year-Old Dead

FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested following a deadly shooting in a Flint Township apartment complex parking lot that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man, police said.

Officers with the Flint Township Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Grand Manor Apartments on Flushing Road.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered 20-year-old X’Savion Randle lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

Investigators later identified and arrested a 16-year-old suspect at a residence in Flint. The teen has been placed at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center while the case remains under investigation.

Police confirmed that the suspect and the victim were known to each other, and authorities believe the incident was isolated, posing no ongoing threat to the public.

The case will be forwarded to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office once the investigation is complete for a charging decision.

Multiple agencies, including the Flint Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, assisted at the scene.
