18-Year-Old Arrested in Fatal Victorville Shooting; Victim Identified

Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that took place in Victorville, officials confirmed.

Shooting Leaves 22-Year-Old Dead

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 3:30 p.m. on March 29 in the 13000 block of Starshine Drive.

When officers arrived, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as 22-year-old Elias Victor Marcell Brooks, was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Suspect Turns Himself In

Investigators identified the suspect as 18-year-old Michael Christopher Gallardo, a resident of Fontana.

Officials said Gallardo voluntarily surrendered at the Upland Police Department on Friday. He was taken into custody and booked on a murder charge.

Authorities confirmed that he is currently being held without bail.

Investigation Continues

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Law enforcement is urging anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the case.
