An 18-year-old Oxnard man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the sale of illegal cannabis to minors, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the probe began in October 2025 after authorities received information about an illicit marijuana operation selling to minors in Oxnard.
Francisco Vega was identified as a suspect during the investigation. Detectives served multiple search warrants and determined that Vega had allegedly been selling marijuana to minors across Ventura County, with activity extending beyond Camarillo.
Members of the department’s Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit assisted the Camarillo Community Resource Unit in building probable cause for Vega’s arrest.
On Feb. 17 at about 7 a.m., Vega was taken into custody at his residence in the 600 block of East Yucca Street in Oxnard.
A search of the home uncovered additional evidence tied to the suspected illegal marijuana sales operation, further linking him to the case, investigators said.
Vega was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of selling marijuana to minors.
Sheriff’s officials thanked community members for providing information that helped advance the investigation.
