Police are investigating after two people were discovered shot to death inside a Southwest Side home overnight.
Officers said the shooting occurred shortly after 8 p.m. at a residence in the 4500 block of South Albany Avenue in Brighton Park.
Police initially responded to reports of a person shot in the area. When officers arrived, they found two victims — a 70-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman — both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the woman had been shot in the face and the man in the head. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials later identified the victims as 43-year-old Ann Kirkpatrick and 70-year-old Harry Kirkpatrick.
Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
