A 21-year-old man from Illinois was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking along a highway in Kalamazoo County, authorities said.
Crash Occurred Late Saturday Night
According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene around 10:22 p.m. on March 21 along U.S. 131 in Oshtemo Township.
Investigators said the man was walking in the northbound lanes near Mile Marker 37 when he was hit by a vehicle.
Victim Pronounced Dead at Scene
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been fully released beyond confirmation that he was from Illinois.
