A man died Friday after an accident involving an industrial dough mixer at a South Florida market, police reported.
North Miami Beach Police told CBS News Miami they are investigating the death, which occurred at the South Florida Kosher Market, located at 1324 NE 163rd St. Authorities identified the man as 71-year-old Mordehay Grunberger.
The circumstances of Grunberger’s death remain unclear, as investigators did not provide additional details.
When CBS News Miami visited the South Florida Kosher Market, employees declined to comment further on the accident. It is also not known whether Grunberger worked at the market. The business closed for the day following the incident.
North Miami Beach Police said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) responded to the scene to investigate. When CBS News Miami contacted OSHA, the agency confirmed it had opened an investigation into Grunberger’s death.
