Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing husband, troopers say

A West Virginia woman was arrested after her husband reported that she stabbed him, authorities said.

Amanda Brown, 38, of Orlando, was charged with malicious wounding, according to a press release from the West Virginia State Police.

Troopers responded to a reported stabbing in the Orlando area of Lewis County on Tuesday around 2 p.m. Their investigation revealed that Brown’s husband suffered multiple lacerations to his left hand and abdominal area.

The husband told officers that Brown attacked him with a knife before law enforcement arrived. He was taken to Braxton Memorial Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Brown was arrested and is being held at Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
