Authorities in Ohio have accused a mother of injecting feces into her child’s IV while at the hospital.
According to a criminal complaint, hospital staff saw Tiffany Le Sueur, 35, inject a “foreign substance” into her child’s IV on Feb. 6.
Staff reported that on Feb. 8, they again witnessed Le Sueur injecting what they believed was human waste into the child’s IV.
Hospital employees then contacted police.
Staff told officers they reviewed surveillance footage from the child’s hospital room. The video allegedly shows Le Sueur entering the bathroom with a cup, placing what appeared to be fecal matter into a syringe, and injecting it into the IV line in the child’s left hand.
Authorities charged Le Sueur with child endangerment.
She appeared in court Tuesday, where a judge ordered her not to have unsupervised contact with minors as part of her bail conditions.
A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 19.
