Man in Critical Condition After Far Northwest Side Shooting

A 40-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting Sunday afternoon on the Far Northwest Side of Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Police said the man was inside a residence in the 3500 block of North Rutherford Avenue in the Schorsch Village neighborhood around 12:40 p.m. when he was shot multiple times.

The victim was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition.

Officers recovered a firearm at the scene. No one is currently in custody.

Area Five Detectives are investigating the incident.
