Former Plantation Mayor Lynn Stoner has entered a no contest plea to three criminal charges in a public corruption case connected to her time in office.
A Broward County judge withheld adjudication and sentenced Stoner to 12 months of probation.
Prosecutors said Stoner attempted to assist a developer by issuing a false letter on city letterhead stating that code violations had been resolved. They also said she pressured a city official to approve construction work without the required permits.
Stoner joined the Plantation City Council in 2011 and served as mayor from 2018 until she lost her re-election bid in 2022.
If she successfully completes the 12-month probation period, she will not have a formal conviction on her record.
