Florida authorities have arrested 22-year-old Y. Ramos after she allegedly sent explicit text messages and photos to a 13-year-old boy enrolled in the private Christian school where she worked as a gym teacher. The boy was attending classes virtually at the time.
Ramos was taken into custody on November 26, 2025, and faces two third-degree felony charges: distributing obscene material to a minor and transmitting harmful material to a minor. Each charge carries a potential prison sentence of up to five years.
The case came to light when the boy’s mother reported suspicious communications in mid-October. Investigators confirmed the inappropriate messages and photos through interviews and the boy’s phone records. Ramos reportedly admitted to sending the photo and engaging in texting with the student.
Ramos was booked into the county jail on a $10,000 bond and remains in custody. No plea has been entered, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information about additional incidents involving Ramos to come forward.
The private school has not yet issued a public statement but is expected to review its policies and the situation.
