Authorities are investigating after two men were found dead in what officials believe was a murder-suicide at a home in South Miami on Sunday.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, officers with the South Miami Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Twin Lake Drive shortly before 2:30 p.m.
When officers arrived at the home, they discovered two men inside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation. Officials said one of the men appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, leading investigators to believe the incident was a domestic-related murder-suicide.
