Authorities are investigating a robbery in which a young man was struck in the face with a firearm at an apartment complex in Ypsilanti Township.
Victim Attacked During Afternoon Incident
According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a possible robbery around 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, in the 1400 block of Village Lane.
Officials say a 23-year-old man told investigators he was assaulted by an unidentified suspect, who hit him in the face with a gun during the incident.
Suspect Flees Scene
After the assault, the suspect reportedly fled the area with the weapon, and no arrests have been announced so far.
Injuries and Ongoing Investigation
The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require extensive medical treatment, authorities said.
The case remains under investigation, and officials have not released further details about the suspect or a possible motive.
