KALAMAZOO, MI — Authorities are investigating a shooting near a Girl Scouts facility in Kalamazoo that left two people injured on Sunday afternoon.
Police Respond to Scene on West Maple Street
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety confirmed officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 block of West Maple Street on April 12.
The incident occurred near the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Kalamazoo Regional Program and Training Center, prompting a large police presence in the area.
Two Victims Reported Shot
According to initial reports, two individuals were shot during the incident. Their conditions have not yet been officially confirmed.
Authorities have since taken a suspect into custody, though further details about the suspect or possible motive have not been released.
