Police in Jackson have arrested a suspect following a domestic incident that involved threats and gunfire on Chittock Avenue.
According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded on April 20 after reports that the suspect had threatened to shoot and kill people inside a residence. Before police arrived, the individual allegedly fired a round near the home and fled the scene.
Officers later located the suspect nearby. Authorities said they saw the individual discard an object into the grass just before being detained.
A search of the area led to the recovery of a loaded revolver with one spent round, confirming that a shot had been fired.
The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to face multiple charges related to assault and weapons offenses. The investigation remains ongoing.
