A man was shot and killed Friday night while sitting inside a vehicle in Humboldt Park.
Chicago police said the shooting occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Wabansia Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of a person shot and, upon arrival, found a 30-year-old man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators later determined the man was sitting in a parked vehicle when an unknown male suspect approached, pulled out a gun, and fired shots, striking him in the head, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he later died. The suspect fled the scene.
No arrests have been made, and Area Five Detectives are continuing the investigation.
