Deputies Continue Search for Cross Lanes Man Missing for 10 Years

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. — Detectives are continuing to investigate the disappearance of a Cross Lanes man who has been missing for a decade.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall “Andy” Priestley was last seen in late February 2016 after visiting family.

Months after he was reported missing, Priestley’s home on Christian Road was destroyed by a fire. Investigators say it is unclear whether the fire is connected to his disappearance.

Deputies describe Priestley as 5-foot-7 and approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has several distinctive tattoos, including:

  • A full sleeve of Grateful Dead imagery on his right arm

  • A Grateful Dead guitar on his right lower leg

  • A male face with female eyes and the name “Brandi” across his shoulder blades

  • A Native American figure on his left forearm

  • Wording on his lower back

Priestley is listed in the National Crime Information Center database as a missing person under case number M923134757.
