A man from Detroit has been arrested after authorities say he led police on two high-speed chases within three days while driving stolen vehicles.
The 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody March 5 in Westland after officers allegedly found him in a stolen car and he attempted to flee.
Prosecutors have charged him with two counts of third-degree fleeing and eluding as well as receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle.
During the investigation, authorities said the suspect was also linked to two separate police pursuits in Roseville that occurred within a three-day period while he was driving another stolen vehicle.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was already out on bond in other criminal cases. Those cases include charges of conducting a criminal enterprise and unlawfully driving away with a vehicle in Oakland County, as well as receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle in Wayne County.
Authorities have not released additional details about the chases or whether anyone was injured. The investigation remains ongoing
