A serious fiery crash at a busy intersection in Jurupa Valley left two people hospitalized Tuesday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and Jurupa Road, prompting a response from the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire crews arriving at the scene found two vehicles involved in the crash, with one car catching fire in its engine compartment following the impact. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading.
Rescue teams also had to extricate one of the drivers from the wreckage before both individuals were transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
Officials reported that both victims are in stable condition. One sustained moderate injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.
Investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office are currently working to determine the cause of the crash.
