Hanover Home Invasion Suspect Arrested While Eating Homeowner’s Pizza and Candy

A suspected home intruder was caught in an unusual situation after deputies found him inside a Hanover Township residence eating the homeowner’s food.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning, April 16, prompting a swift response from local authorities.


Deputies Respond to Suspicious Activity

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were initially dispatched around 6:41 a.m. to the area of Folks Road near Dew Road following reports of a suspicious individual walking nearby.

While searching the area, authorities received a separate 911 call reporting an active break-in at a home on Folks Road.


Suspect Found Inside Home

When deputies arrived at the residence, they discovered the suspect inside the house. Instead of attempting to flee, the man was reportedly eating leftover pizza and candy belonging to the homeowner.

He was immediately taken into custody without further incident.


Arrest and Charges Pending

The suspect was transported to the Jackson County Jail, where he is being held pending formal charges related to home invasion.
