Authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered at a recently purchased property in Genesee County.
Discovery reported by homeowner
According to the Michigan State Police, troopers from the Flint Post responded around 12:50 p.m. on March 18 to a residence on Willard Road in Forest Township.
The new homeowner contacted authorities after finding what they believed to be human remains on the property.
Investigation confirms remains
Detectives, along with a state police canine team, conducted a preliminary investigation and confirmed the presence of human remains, officials said.
No suspects identified
Authorities have not announced any suspects or made arrests at this time. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the identity of the remains and the circumstances surrounding the case.
