A 20-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly driving her car into a crowd in Lexington early Sunday morning, injuring multiple people.

Incident Details

According to court documents, the incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. near Short and Mill streets in downtown Lexington.

Police say Kaydence Carpenter was involved in a disturbance in a parking lot before driving a Tesla Model 3 over a curb and into a group of pedestrians.

Video footage shows:

  • A crowd gathered around the vehicle
  • The driver reversing before accelerating forward
  • Several pedestrians being struck while others ran to safety

Injuries and Arrest

Authorities confirmed:

  • Four people were injured
  • Carpenter continued driving the wrong way before being stopped by officers

Police said they found signs of alcohol impairment, and Carpenter allegedly failed field sobriety tests.

Charges Filed

Carpenter now faces multiple charges, including:
