Kern County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men after they were found hiding in a storage container on a train during an attempted burglary on December 31, 2025, officials said.
Ricardo Rodriguez, 47, and Juan Diaz, 41, barricaded themselves inside the container but were taken into custody without further incident, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Both men face multiple charges, including:

Additionally, Diaz was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant.
