Man charged with organized retail theft in boom lift case

Jeremy Cyle-Henry Coble, 33, is facing a felony charge following an investigation into the alleged theft of a boom lift connected to a reported repossession in Lowell.

Court records show that Lowell Police were dispatched on May 28, 2025, to Tri-Creek Rentals regarding a reported theft of a 2022 JLG T350 35-foot boom lift valued at approximately $10,000.

According to court documents, the business owner had purchased the boom lift earlier in April through a Facebook Marketplace ad and was renting it out through Tri-Creek Rentals. On May 27, 2025, an unknown man reportedly arrived at the rental business claiming to be a “repo man” and stating that Home Depot in Michigan had reported the boom lift stolen.

Later that evening, the business owner was notified that a towing company had repossessed the boom lift from the customer’s residence and provided paperwork labeled as an “Order to Repossess.”

Investigators confirmed that Home Depot was the titled owner of the boom lift, which had been reported stolen in Taylor, Michigan, earlier in May. Police used a GPS unit installed on the equipment to locate and recover the boom lift, returning it to Home Depot.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed photos, vehicle records, Facebook communications, and other documents related to the sale of the boom lift. A photo lineup was conducted, and the business owner positively identified Coble as the individual involved in the transaction.

Coble was booked into the Lake County Jail on January 7, 2026.

Charge filed June 25, 2025:

  • Organized Retail Theft – Level 6 Felony
