A man was hospitalized and a woman was arrested following a shooting Monday afternoon in the Loring Park neighborhood near downtown Minneapolis, police said.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Nicollet Avenue around 3:18 p.m., where they found a man lying on the ground with what authorities described as a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police provided emergency medical aid at the scene before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an argument involving the injured man, another man, and a woman. Officials said the dispute escalated, leading to gunfire.
The woman involved was located near the scene and taken into custody. The other man allegedly involved in the argument left the area before officers arrived.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details were immediately released.
