Man Hurt in Early-Morning Shooting in Charleston, Police Say

Police said a man was injured in a shooting that occurred early Monday morning in Charleston.

According to the Charleston Police Department, officers received a report around 6 a.m. regarding the incident in the 2000 block of Hutchinson Street.

Investigators stated that a dispute involving four men escalated and resulted in the shooting.

Police said the injured man later left the hospital against medical advice and then went to the Charleston Fire Department Training Center located at the intersection of Madison and Wyoming streets.

Officers noted that the victim has not been cooperative with the ongoing investigation.
