A 22-year-old man from Saginaw has been arrested following a late-night shooting that damaged multiple homes and vehicles in Bay City.
Gunfire Reported Near Party
According to the Bay City Department of Public Safety, officers on patrol heard several gunshots around 12:34 a.m. on March 22 in the 1000 block of 21st Street.
At the same time, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area.
Shootout Involves Passing Vehicle
Investigators say an unknown vehicle drove past a party and opened fire at a residence. People at the gathering then returned fire, leading to a gunfire exchange.
The shooting struck:
- At least two occupied homes
- Two vehicles not involved in the incident
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Arrest and Evidence Collected
Police later executed a search warrant, recovering numerous shell casings from the scene. The Saginaw man was arrested and booked into the Bay County Jail.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about charges or whether other suspects are involved.

The investigation involved several agencies, including:

- Hampton Township and Essexville public safety departments
