A 16-year-old suspect is now facing adult charges in connection with a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in Flint Township, Michigan, authorities confirmed.
According to police, the teenager—identified as Ladarius Bernard—has been formally charged with multiple offenses, including felony murder, following the death of 20-year-old X’Savion Randle.
Shooting Incident Details
Law enforcement officers responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 p.m. on April 18 at the Grand Manor Apartments located on Flushing Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered Randle in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the victim and the accused were known to each other, though further details about their relationship have not been disclosed.
Charges Filed Against Suspect
Bernard has been arraigned in Genesee District Court on six charges, including:
- Felony murder
- Three counts of felony firearm
- Armed robbery
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
Authorities confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody at a residence in Flint and is currently being held at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center.

Bernard is scheduled to appear in court again on May 7 for a probable cause hearing before a district court judge.
