Three Men Hospitalized After Gunfire in Brownsville, Miami-Dade

Three men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after being struck by gunfire in northwestern Miami-Dade County, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO).

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert near 2400 NW 55th Street in Brownsville. While en route, they were informed that one man with a gunshot wound had been dropped off at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Two additional men with gunshot injuries drove themselves to Northshore Hospital. They were later transferred to Ryder Trauma Center and are also reported to be in stable condition.

Preliminary reports indicate the men were on their way to a gathering when shots were fired from an unknown location, striking them, MDSO said.

No suspects have been identified at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
