Two injured in separate Lexington shootings hours apart, police investigate

Two people were hospitalized following separate shooting incidents in Lexington on Tuesday evening, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The first shooting was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cantrill Drive and Green Hills Road. Officers arriving at the scene found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, and his injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Authorities have not released any suspect information related to this incident.

Later in the evening, around 8:40 p.m., police responded to another shooting at the Coolavin Apartments on West Sixth Street. A second man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were also reported to be non-life-threatening.

Officials stated that individuals involved in the second shooting have been identified, though further details have not been disclosed.
